The AriSE Awards is an inaugural event to recognise the best of Malaysian-based Social Enterprises (SEs).

The Awards is a platform to honour these impact-driven organisations who are leading the way in their business model and practices, innovation, and social or environmental impact. It also showcases notable and high achieving SEs serving as inspirations for Malaysians, as well as for others to follow.

The AriSE Awards is also in line with efforts to transform Malaysia into an entrepreneurial nation under the National Entrepreneurship Policy 2030 (DKN 2030).

A clearly evidenced social, environmental and community impact.

For individuals who has gone above and beyond to assist and facilitate the growth of social enterprises by means of mentorship. *candidates are nominated and voted by participating social enterprises

CORPORATE INITIATIVE AWARD

For corporations or businesses who have assisted in the growth of the social enterprise ecosystem by providing funding and retail opportunities to social enterprises as well as championing sustainable practices within their organisation.

CAPACITY BUILDER AWARD

For organisations who have assisted in the growth of the ecosystem by helping social enterprises in terms of refining their business models, overall capacity development as well as connecting them to potential funders and growth opportunities.

How do i apply for an AriSE Award?

To apply for any category in the AriSE Awards, log on to www.purposemy.com/arise. Click 'Apply Now', which will bring you to an online form where you can make your application.
When are the winners of the awards announced?

The winners of the Awards will be announced during the AriSE Awards Event on the 24th of November 2019.
How does PurpoSE define a Social Enterprise?

A Social Enterprise is defined as an organisation that has a social or environmental mission to achieve by means of a business model or activities. The organisation also commits a significant amount of funds to impact its target beneficiaries to advance social or environmental goals.
Is there an application fee for the AriSE Awards?

No, there is not. However, there will be a separate link and procedure for seat purchase for anyone wanting to attend the AriSE Awards
Will I be able to make changes to my application after I have submitted it?

No. However, a representative from PurpoSE may contact you further for clarifying questions or supplemental information should the information provided in the application be deemed insufficient for evaluation.
Do I need to prepare any documents before considering to apply?

To strenghten your application, you are encouraged to supply by (copy or URL link) the following : i. Financial Information: This can be in the form of income or profit and loss statements for your financial year. ii. Company Registration Documents from Companies Commission Malaysia (SSM), or Registration Certificate from Registrar of Societies (ROS). iii. Documents that showcases and articulate the impact of your organisation from 2018 to current. This can be in the form of an impact report that your organisation shares with key stakeholders. If you don't have them in a document forms, you can share links to them for us to access them online. iv. Any other optional documents that can showcase your organisation's impact.
If I don't supply the optional documents, will it affect my application?"

No. However, we encourage you to do so as it strengthens your application.
